Dougan Sherwood is a Partner at Captains of Innovation, the consulting arm of Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC). As one of CIC's longest serving team members, Dougan has been instrumental in shaping its trajectory for nearly two decades. His journey began in Kendall Square, Cambridge, where he played a key role during CIC’s formative years of growth and expansion.

In 2014, Dougan co-founded CIC's first expansion site at the Cortex Innovation District in St. Louis, Missouri. This work provided him with deep, hands-on experience in developing innovation districts and entrepreneurial ecosystems in markets throughout the United States and abroad. His extensive on-the-ground expertise has made him a sought-after authority in innovation strategy design and implementation.
