Alejandra Winter

Director, International Soft Landing

Alejandra Winter is the Director, International Soft Landing at Captains of Innovation, where she leads global initiatives that connect startups with new markets through tailored soft landing programs, ecosystem partnerships, and international expansion strategies. With over a decade of experience building innovation communities, she has supported more than 200 startups from Latin America, Asia, and Europe in scaling into the U.S., Japan, and beyond.

She launched CIC’s International Programs, designing industry-specific cohorts across biotech, dual-use technology, and sustainability sectors, and scaling contract value and revenue more than tenfold. Prior to this, she led operations and ecosystem development at CIC Miami, transforming the center into a hub for inclusive entrepreneurship and founding its first soft landing program for Latin American startups.

Before joining CIC, Alejandra served as Operations Manager at Ideas Factory, an innovation hub in Chile recognized by the World Bank for shaping cities into innovation districts. A trained engineer and design thinker, she co-founded Designing Better Futures, advising major firms on innovation strategy, and has published and spoken globally on internationalization, startup ecosystems, and gender equity in tech.
